I love thinking about how those fresh perspectives gave you that neural pathways blossoming in the brain feeling. Muas.

I'm so glad! Those kind of "yes, I"m really supposed to be here" moments are so awesome, and necessary.
Question - is the name of your journal from
Kushiel's Dart
?

The "cygnets and signets" part, or the magnificent part?
Cygnets and Signets came from a novel I was working on for 5 years. The novel finally died but I liked that bit of language so I recycled it.
The "Go to Where I'm Going..." subtitle is from Cocteau's film Beauty and the Beast.
I haven't read Kushiel's Dart yet but it's been on my list for a while now. Worth reading?

I think it's a fun bit of escapism - smarter than many, sexier than most (without disintegrating to bodice-ripper status). There's a little bit with "cygnets" and "signets" being verbally misunderstood that becomes relevant.
