spring break dispatch pt. 1

Many glasses of wine later, drawgirl and I had resolved all the details of my wedding. Not only will it be a theme wedding, but it will be a pirate theme wedding. And not only that but it will begin with the boys on one sailboat and the girls on the other sailboat and the girls boarding the boy sailboat (maybe while swinging on rigging lines!?!?!?) and grabbing the boys and taking them back to the girl sailboat and then the wedding happens! I plan to wear a blue naval jacket and a hat with a feather. AND there will be rum.

No this is not a wedding announcement, by the way. This is just the wine.

Brilliant. I was gonna do cupcakes but this is much better. Maybe a bride-and-groom pirate couple on top of the cake?

Wow. You'd think there'd be pirate wedding cake toppers swan diving off the Intership's vast rigging. But my cursory search portends ill. I found a couple's wedding planning saga where they looked for a pirate couple and all they could find was a figurine of a guy all decked out and brandishing his weapon, and a femmy peach garbed gal languishing against his side. They were thrilled with it. *shudder*

Well, there are custom wedding cake toppers. You know, you send them a snapshot of your awesome pirate garbed selves and they take it from there...

i love wine for this reason. so many ridiculous ideas and warmth come out of it.....not that i`ll be drinking any again for quite awhile.
