Ophelia just watched a big, black bird fly overhead last night. I remember thinking, oh, how cute, she's big enough to be intrigued by the bird, and I have no more fears of big, evil birds picking my kittens off the lawn.

We've gotten in the habit of taking them in the yard at night and letting them roam around--they never stray too far from us. It's adorable. I'm already not looking forward to when they become even more independent.
