With my music, I usually feel that what I'm doing has very little to do with my own mind. I just turn off my thoughts and let whatever it is that flows through me, well, flow through me. I avoid over-thinking it. I sort of see myself as like an idiot-savant channeling something outside of myself. I'm 'on' when I'm being creative, but the rest of the time I'm pretty out of it. I am fortunate to not have too much trouble getting to that place. I hope it stays this way for awhile.
